The United States launched a Military Operation on Venezuela

The morning of January 3rd, the United States launched a special military operation in Caracas which concluded with low altitude strikes from Aircraft and American Special forces capturing the president of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro. Venezuelan officials claim that up to 40 people were killed in the unprovoked attack, this sentiment is being shown by more and more world leaders as the day has gone on. Maduro is now allegedly being held in New York.

President Trump said in a press conference today that the U.S was interested in running things for a while as they set up a new government. The nation is now led by Delcy Rodriguez who is the former vice president. She claims the attack and arrests had “Zionist Undertones”

All of this is done after years of media build up against Venezuela going back to 2019. In recent months it was accelerated with claims that Venezuela was killing Americans with fentanyl in the drug war, which is false considering the vast majority come by way of Mexico and China. So, it would appear that Fentanyl is the new excuse for war now that Weapons of Mass destruction are no longer in style like with Iraq.

In regard to Fentanyl, a fellow writer Matthew Lucci, who posts on ALM, would be much more qualified to speak on the subject matter. He ran on ending the murder of Americans by Fentanyl 2 years ago, but Republicans didn't care at the time oddly enough.

So now for my usual jaded opinion in regard to DC and the swamp that is not being drained.

Venezuela has oil just like how the middle east has oil. Venezuela also has its own banking system outside of the American Dollar based system. So, we get more military operations and possibly more forever wars. The fact that Trump himself said they wanted regime change and to run the country means we are probably going back in for an extended period of time. All of this without the Congress declaring an official war as the constitution states it should.

As a veteran of the last forever war, I have to ask the question: how does this help America? We are 40 trillion in debt and facing a demographic disaster on our own soil. Should we not deal with our own problems and take care of the veterans from the last war before moving onto the next?

If Trump is doing this to win the midterms I don't think it's going to work, and it shows how out of touch and useless the GOP really is. Instead of releasing the Epstein files or stopping the wars which is what Trump ran on in 2024 he is starting new conflicts.

And lastly. How long can we go around being the world's bully, bombing and kidnapping nations leaders before even our closest allies turn away from us out of paranoia?

Hail Columbia
